The Clearwater Recreation Commission offers a series of sports activities for ages 3 -12 and some for adults. Youth participating in recreational sports will learn the basic skills of their chosen sport and play. Sports offered include:
The registration fee for recreational sports is a low cost so every child and adult can participate. To register for any recreation program, sign up online or register in-person in the library or City Hall.
Clearwater Summer Baseball and Softball is affiliated with USSSA. The practices start April 7th and regular season games will be May 12 through June 16.
Sign-ups will be available February through Feb. 28 , 2025.

Please note: Recreation Director will divide teams for T-Ball with requests being honored as much as possible.
How teams are decided: For ages 7 and up, coach meeting will determine the official teams. Head coach and assistant coach will receive two kids of their choice (up to 4 kids). Coaches present for that age group will be provided with the preference/request/needs list from players/parents/coaches for which player want placed with specific players/coaches. Most of these requests tend to happen organically as the group of coaches present create the teams. We want teams to be even, while attempting to match preference/request/needs to the best of our ability.
A T-ball program to teach preschoolers ages 3 & 4 social skills along with mechanical skills.
Participants will learn how to hit off a tee and run to a base that honks. Each game will consist of two or three innings. Volunteer team leaders are needed, no additional practices!

This program will focus on fundamental training and concentrate on individual skills. We will teach each player the basics of passing, setting, serving, and hitting. We will break down the game of volleyball so your young athlete will have fun and gain knowledge of the game.
