Come out and cheer on your favorite lil' triathlete as they take on our fun-filled course. Designed for kids up to 5 years old. Kids will start off at the "need for speed" running portion, then pedal their way on the bike course and conclude their triathlon with a "swim" (a dash through water provided by the Fire Department!) as they head to the finish line to receive their medal. Every participant is REQUIRED to bring a bike (tricycles accepted too) and a helmet for this event. No bikes larger than 16 inches please.
This event is free for participants but registration is required to receive a finisher medal! Register online at www.clearwaterrec.org/forms or by this form submitted to the Library or City Hall.
Turkey Trot
Join us for this quick and fun 1 mile run that ends at the Middle School, where participants can enjoy a slice of pie! Registration is free and all are welcome! The path will be paved and well marked.
Dr. May with May Chiropractic provides the medals for this family friendly event.
Typically hosted on the Thursday evening before Thanksgiving.
Santa's Night of Lights Parade
Come join the parade touring around Clearwater to see some of the best Christmas Light displays in town. We will meet in the MS/IC South Parking lot. Everyone is welcome to park regularly and when it is time, we will drive drive single around town, lead by Santa and his sleigh. Then join us and Santa for cookies and hot chocolate at the Library once the parade ends. Soon you will be able to suggest places to include in the parade and vote for your favorite car and house. The top 3 voted cars and houses will receive a prize. Be sure to decorate your vehicle (golf carts and other street legal vehicles welcome).
Easter Egg Hunt
Join us for this free, fun Easter Egg Hunt with close to 1500 eggs for ages 0-12. The Hunt will be held at the Clearwater Football Field. Kids will be divided into different age group areas for 0-3, 4-7, and 8-12 year olds. This will help to keep the hunt fun and safe for all.
Eggs will be opened after the hunt and special prizes given out to those that have the slips of paper for the prizes. Then empty eggs can be returned.
We hope to see you there!
Coffee & Community
We are starting a monthly event called "Coffee & Community" where we invite a local leader in our community in the public, private, education or non-profit sector to come and speak about their role in the Clearwater community. This recurring event is inspired by a "lunch & learn". The event is on the first Wednesday of every month at 10:00 AM at the Clearwater Senior Center. The community leader will have 5-10 minutes to talk about their role in the Clearwater community. What kinds of initiatives and/or projects do they have going on? Basically a way to let people in the Clearwater community learn more about what's going on within that organization. The rest of the time will be open for Q&A and general discussion over coffee and donuts.
