Santa's Night of Lights Parade
Date: Dec. 14
Time: Line up @ 5:30pm and depart @ 6pm

Come join the parade touring around Clearwater to see some of the best Christmas Light displays in town. We will meet in the MS/IC South Parking lot. Everyone is welcome to park regularly and when it is time, we will drive single file around town, lead by Santa and his sleigh. Then join us and Santa for cookies and hot chocolate at the Library once the parade ends. Suggest places to include in the parade via the link above and vote for your favorite house during the event. The top 3 voted cars and houses will receive a gift cards. Be sure to decorate your vehicle (golf carts and other street legal vehicles welcome).
Coloring Competition
Date: Due to local businesses by Dec. 5 at noon - but business hours vary so please be aware.
Who: Pre-K to 5th graders
Where: deliver color sheets to the businesses below based on the grade of the submission. Each grade division has a different coloring sheet.

Turkey Trot
Date: Nov. 21, 2025
Time: 6:30pm
Location: Middle School North Parking Lot & Commons
Here is the race path.
Registration will open here in October.
Join us for this quick and fun 1 mile run that ends at the Middle School, where participants can enjoy a slice of pie! Registration is free and all are welcome! The path will be paved and well marked.
Dr. May with May Chiropractic provides the medals for this family friendly event.
Typically hosted on the Friday evening before Thanksgiving.
Walktober
Register for this free walking event by Sept. 30. Teams of up to 5 can register. The goal is to walk at least 310 miles throughout the month of October (1st-31st) as a group. This is roughly 3 people walking 7,500 steps each day!
Participants that reach the 310 mile goal will receive a free t-shirt!
Friends, family and coworkers are welcome to join with a team to track their walking in October. Team Captains will register their team (must know team shirt sizes and team members at registration). Then Team Captain's are responsible for submitting the number of hours their team has accomplished by Wednesday of the following week via a link provided by the Clearwater Rec Director.
Be Well Series
We are starting a monthly series about wellness called "Be Well" where we invite a local wellness professionals in our community in the public, private, education or non-profit sector to come and speak about their role in the Clearwater community and then lead an activity pertaining to their specialty. These events will typically be help on a Monday night at 6:30pm at the Senior Center and is open to all. The wellness professional will talk about their role and importance of their profession for 5-15 minutes. Then the professional will lead an activity for the rest of the time. For example, massage therapist will speak and then provide chair massages.
Easter Egg Hunt
Join us for this free, fun Easter Egg Hunt with close to 1500 eggs for ages 0-12. The Hunt will be held at the Clearwater Football Field. Kids will be divided into different age group areas for 0-3, 4-7, and 8-12 year olds. This will help to keep the hunt fun and safe for all.
Eggs will be opened after the hunt and special prizes given out to those that have the slips of paper for the prizes. Then empty eggs can be returned.

Coffee & Community
We host a monthly event called "Coffee & Community" where we invite a local leader in our community in the public, private, education or non-profit sector to come and speak about their role in the Clearwater community. This recurring event is inspired by a "lunch & learn". The event is on the first Wednesday of every month at 10:00 AM at the Clearwater Senior Center. The community leader will have 5-10 minutes to talk about their role in the Clearwater community. What kinds of initiatives and/or projects do they have going on? Basically a way to let people in the Clearwater community learn more about what's going on within that organization. The rest of the time will be open for Q&A and general discussion over coffee and donuts.
Mighty Tikes
Date: August 7, 2025
Time: 6:30pm
Location: Sports Complex
Come out and cheer on your favorite lil' triathlete as they take on our fun-filled course. Designed for kids up to 5 years old. Kids will start off at the "need for speed" running portion, then pedal their way on the bike course and conclude their triathlon with a "swim" (a dash through water provided by the Fire Department!) as they head to the finish line to receive their medal. Every participant is REQUIRED to bring a bike (tricycles accepted too) and a helmet for this event. No bikes larger than 16 inches please.
This event is free for participants but registration is required to receive a finisher medal! Register online at www.clearwaterrec.org/forms or by this form submitted to City Hall.
